Grants from the Papal Foundation sustain, care for, protect and honor all human life from beginning to end. Requests for support come from every corner of the world.
How Grants Are Determined
The Foundation awards grants ranging from $10,000 to $200,000 to Catholic programs and organizations. Grant requests may have been submitted by an Ordinary, Major Religious Superior, the Holy See’s Secretary of State and the Holy Father. Our Board of Trustees makes final selections.
The Foundation has also created donor-advised funds to address requests for support of specific areas of work. One fund commits $1 million a year for seven years, passing the experience of serving as a Steward of Saint Peter onto a new generation within the family. The Foundation is open to creative solutions that will meet the needs and interests of donors.
