Spiritual Care for Seminarians

The Papal Foundation Provides Spiritual Care for Seminarians in the Ukraine’s Growing Catholic Church

On February 12, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, performed the rite of blessing of the conference hall of the Kyiv Three Holy Hierarchs Spiritual Seminary in Kniazhychi, Ukraine.

This conference hall will be used for education purposes, spiritual conferences, catechetical school and parochial meetings, as well as other events that foster spiritual and intellectual formation of 68 seminarians studying for the priesthood for 6 jurisdictions in north-central, eastern and southern regions of Ukraine.

The Kniazhychi Seminary was able to bring this important project to completion thanks to a generous contribution from The Papal Foundation.  In gratitude to The Papal Foundation and to the Holy Father - and to signify this important moment of our collaboration  - the seminary hall was named after Pope Francis. The Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine H. E. Claudio Gugerotti took part in the ceremony. Look for information on an upcoming Grant Mission visit to the Ukraine.
