It’s been a busy week here in Rome, with beautiful Masses at the Chapel at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy, at San Bernardo, at Santa Maria degli Angeli and yesterday at Saint Peter’s. On Wednesday, Cardinal O’Malley gave a special tour of his titular church, the stunning and spectacular Santa Maria della Vittoria, and then we honored the Saeman Scholar priests and women religious on Wednesday evening at a special reception at the St. Regis. But of course the highlight of the pilgrimage was Thursday morning for the audience with our Holy Father, Pope Francis.

I’ll be sharing more photos and stories upon our return to the States, but in the meantime, the audience was covered in several publications and I’m happy to provide links to them for full coverage of our time with Pope Francis:

As someone who was blessed to experience an intimate audience for Stewards of Saint Peter at the Vatican for the first time yesterday, I now understand just how singularly unique this is, and why Stewards feel such gratitude to have this kind of special experience with our Holy Father!
