Summary
The Development Analyst works independently and with Foundation Development staff and other key stakeholders to identify and support recruitment of North American Catholic philanthropists who join and become engaged in supporting the good works of the Foundation and assume the title Steward of Saint Peter. The Development Analyst will also maintain and update database records of existing Stewards and donors. The Development Analyst will primarily engage in 1) prospective Steward identification, 2) proprietary database management and 3) supporting the Development team. The position is based in Chester, PA. Reports to Executive Director.
Role Description
Understanding that the role of Development Analyst will balance research, database work and software tool use to identify new Stewards while also managing and refining existing database information, the Development Analyst has the following responsibilities:
Prospective Steward Identification & Market Research:
- Utilize the Internet, phone, database resources and available public information to access and qualify Catholic philanthropists and add to the Foundation’s proprietary database of top prospects
- Conduct in-depth research of prioritized areas in the U.S and overseas to identify most attractive markets for prospective Stewards.
Proprietary Database Maintenance & Management:
- Work with Development executives to maintain and enhance the accuracy and integrity of the detail included in the Foundation’s Steward and prospective Steward database
- Become proficient in and a power user of both Little Green Light (LGL) database and WealthX, the Foundation’s wealth screening software
- Track how Steward prospects move through development funnel with a view towards discerning best practices for future adoption

Development Team Support:
- Create regular reports detailing team progress against goals, provide regular updates of database inputs to the Executive Director and Development team
- Collaborate with the Development team to maintain and distribute collateral and follow up communications to prospective Stewards
- Build and manage a system to communicate recognition of Steward, donor and prospective Steward milestone events such as birthdays, anniversaries and other important dates
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience and attributes:
Education/Experience
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in utilizing donor database and wealth screening systems
- Experience in leveraging online networking platforms (LinkedIn, etc.) to increase connections and engagement opportunities.
- Knowledge of and experience utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Compensation
This is a full-time position with a salary of $50,000-$60,000/year depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity and a generous benefits package.
