The Papal Foundation has announced the election of three Stewards of St. Peter to its Board of Trustees

Chester, PA (January 30, 2023) – The Papal Foundation has announced the election of three Stewards of St. Peter to its Board of Trustees:

  • Paul Hill, Regina, SK, Canada – Executive Chairman of The Hill Companies
  • Tim Ristoff, Ladera Ranch, CA – Chairman and CEO at TriVista Business Group
  • Cosmo DeNicola, Philadelphia, PA – Chairman at Cosmo DeNicola Companies

The Papal Foundation is dedicated to addressing the philanthropic priorities of the Holy Father in developing nations around the world, such as building churches, hospitals, and schools. Since its inception in 1988, The Papal Foundation has allocated more than $200 million to more than 2000 projects selected by Popes Francis, Benedict, and Saint John Paul II, as well as scholarships that enable lay and religious leaders to study in Rome.

“We are delighted to have Paul, Tim, and Cosmo join our Board of Trustees. Their diverse expertise and rich experiences in business and serving their communities will provide insight on how our organization can best support the poorest of the poor communities around the globe,” says Eustace Mita, President of the Board of Trustees of The Papal Foundation.

“Our mission is to support projects the Holy See deems most important around the world,” added Dave Savage, Executive Director, “whether it be to educate and prepare leaders or care for the most vulnerable, young and old.”

“We are carrying out Pope Francis’ commitment to educating, feeding, housing, and healing those most in need in developing nations,” said Cardinal O’Malley. “In partnership with the Vatican, we will continue to identify areas and initiatives most in need of investments that will grow our universal Church.”

“As members of the Catholic Church, we are called to love our neighbor, and that means all people, Catholic and non-Catholics, around the globe,” concluded Savage. “The needs in these developing nations are too great to ignore, especially when we are blessed to live in the wealthiest nation in the world.”

As members of the Board of Trustees, Hill, Ristoff, and DeNicola will be instrumental in overseeing The Papal Foundation’s grant making and scholarship awards. Additionally, all three have been elected to serve on committees that assist in furthering the ongoing mission of the Papal Foundation. Hill will serve on the Investment Committee, Ristoff on the Governance and Nominating Committee, and DeNicola on the Grants Review Committee.
