Marketing and nonprofit leader will drive foundation’s global mission to serve those most in need in developing nations around the world

The Papal Foundation, whose mission is to serve the Holy Father and the Roman Catholic Church through
faith, energy and financial resources, has named David Savage Executive Director. In this role, Savage will
lead the organization’s focus on addressing Pope Francis’ priorities to build the Church, educate and prepare leaders, and care for the most vulnerable people, young and old, around the world.

“David’s experience and demonstrated commitment to the Church will greatly benefit our organization,”
said Cardinal Sean O’Malley, Chairman of The Papal Foundation Board of Trustees. “We are very happy he
will be leading efforts to build the resources that the Foundation deploys to care for the needy in developing
nations around the globe, as we work diligently to address priorities identified by the Holy Father.”

“Dave has the business acumen we searched for and, most importantly, he is passionate about his Catholic
faith,” added Eustace Mita, President of The Papal Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Working closely with
existing and new Stewards of St. Peter to accomplish the Holy Father’s goals, Dave is poised to take The
Papal Foundation to the next level. I want to thank our Search Committee Members Rob Neal, Tammy
Tenaglia, Den Jilot, and Ward Fitzgerald, who shepherded this process.”

Since its founding in 1988, The Papal Foundation has awarded more than $190 Million in grants and
scholarships to underserved communities and dioceses around the world. “I am extremely blessed to have
the opportunity to support The Papal Foundation’s work to grow the Catholic faith, as well as house, heal,
feed and educate individuals and families around the globe,” Savage added.

Savage has 25 years of executive experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, and as a co-founder and
investor in multiple agencies and businesses.

Most recently, Savage matched his consumer direct marketing experience with the urgent need to help
parents address the challenge of managing their children’s screen time, co-founding Content Watch Holdings, Inc. The company purchased and relaunched Net Nanny , an app that marries screen time monitoring and scheduling, content filtering, app usage and proprietary parenting insights with real-time alerts and updates for parents about their child’s online activity.

In addition to his professional roles, Savage has been a volunteer leader in the Catholic Church, serving on
the board of directors for two leading national apostolates: Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) and as
co-founder and past chair of Theology of the Body Institute (TOBI).

Savage was installed as a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre by Cardinal Timothy
Dolan in 2010, and is a long-time supporter of Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), the
Sisters of Life, Generation Life, and St. Norbert Catholic Church and School in Paoli, PA.

Savage earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. He resides in
Phoenixville, PA, with his wife Kim and four sons.
